ABSTRACT

Sandbags. Not very sexy, are they? Yet, if you were going to make only one rig in this book, I’d want it to be this one. I’ve seen a lot of injuries and equipment damage on sets because someone didn't bother to throw a couple of sandbags on a light stand, tripod, or C-stand. Sandbags are also handy supporting a camera where a tripod won't do. The bag in the next chapter is even easier to make. Want to keep that PVC dolly track in place? Throw a sandbag on each end. Sandbags—a thousand uses and counting. Make a bunch of these and use them.
