Where do I start? Seems a simple thing to take a can of spray paint to these rigs, right? But metal is its own sort of beast. No matter what you do, you will end up with scratches. There seems to be only one way to make a color permanent and that's powder coating. You can't do powder coating by your lonesome. It has to be done at a special facility because it requires special equipment for “painting” and then gets cured under heat. The good news is that most cities have a place where you can have your rigs powder coated.
