ABSTRACT

Introduction While feature films and television broadcasting have clear

job descriptions for such roles as unit production managers, production coordinators, line producers, assistant directors, and script coordinators, frequently in corporate production many of these jobs are rolled into one. In some cases, especially with low-budget productions, the video producer or his or her assistant is tasked with these duties. No matter what the production budget, video managers should consider the value of contracting with production coordinators, even if it is for only a short period of time. In most cases you can justify their fee in the savings they generate for the production budget.
