ABSTRACT
Introduction So you want to be a small-business person. Well, start by
removing the “small” from your consciousness. You can accomplish nearly anything you set your heart and mind to do, so dream big and work hard. Aim high when you set your goals. Talk with those in the field who have achieved them. Is your desire to be an independent video producer so great and your confidence in success so high that they will get you through those days of looming disillusionment? How will you feel when you see your employed colleagues get to take vacations, when you are faced with staggering premiums for all the different kinds of insurance you will have to purchase, or when your biggest customer has gone belly-up?
