American Society of Cinematographers A select organization of professional film and television directors ofphotography. The ASC publishes the American Cinematographer’s Manual, a professional cinematography handbook, and the monthly periodical American Cinematographer. Membership to the organization is by invitation only and allows members to use the initials ASC after their names.
