ABSTRACT
The women of France responded to the call of their homeland in danger by giving all of their strength. Clad in overalls, they could be seen in the factories turning out mortar shells, melting down steel for cannons, making explosives. And in this atmosphere of death, amidst these hard tasks of men, so rough on their fragile arms, they contrived to remain women and retain all their charm.
