ABSTRACT

If I were to describe in detail the menus of all the cameras I have written about here, that, alone, would be much thicker than the whole book. I have, therefore, tried to give a good overview of how menus function and to do that I have given a detailed description of the menu system in the Sony/Panavision HDW F900 camera. This has been a decision I have reviewed many times in the writing of this book but I believe it has merit. The F900 was the first of the truly usable HDCAMs and it seems that Sony, in their wisdom, decided to give access to absolutely all the variables in the camera.
