ABSTRACT

What we hear of today as 3D is not the traditional 3D those of us who have been in the computer graphics field for the past decade or more have come to get used to. 3D now refers to Stereoscopic 3D. Stereoscopic 3D is about retaining depth in the final output. In this chapter, we will go through how to create a 3D camera rig in CINEMA 4D using XPresso. We’ll then shift to shooting with the rig and how to converge the Left and Right camera renders to make a Stereoscopic image using Photoshop. Finally, we’ll look at some of the settings involved in getting the best results and a Stereoscopic plugin for C4D that brings extra control and automated stereo output.
