ABSTRACT

Digital video editing is divided into three phases: getting viewer material into the computer, Editing it, which is the fun part and Getting it back out of viewer computer. Render Control for individual sequences, which is where viewer are more likely to need it, can also be accessed from Sequence>Settings. Video Quality can be set to High, Medium, or Low. The lower the settings, the poorer the image quality, but the greater the real-time playback capabilities. These settings affect only playback quality and do not change viewer render quality at all. The settingsthe viewer chooses are for both capturing and sequences. Any sequences viewer create after changing the settings will reflect the new settings and will not work properly with material captured using the original settings. In Final Cut Express HD 3.5, as in most video editing programs, that means setting up preferences, several choices for video and audio and system settings.
