ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at Boris Calligraphy, which is made up of two elements: Title 3D and Title Crawl. These supersede the FCE text tools and should be the title tool of choice for most of the work the user does. These generators give the user great control and flexibility with text. The Title 3D Interface is the first of five tabbed windows that allows the user to access to Title 3D’s powerful and complex tools. In fact, Title 3D has so many controls that there seem to be controls for the controls. Title Crawl is accessed from the Generators pop-up menu inside the Boris submenu and shares many of the same controls as Title 3D. The Top-down Text and Right-to-left Reading checkboxes at the bottom of the same window are great if viewer want vertical text or if viewer are doing Hebrew or Arabic text. The chapter explains how users can work with still images and Photoshop files.
