ABSTRACT

INT. STACEY HEBERT’S CAR – DAY LILY HEBERT is driving with her mother, STACEY HEBERT, down a narrow, rural road. Lily is upset — her father has just left the family for a younger woman and so she and Stacey have moved to the Northeast from California to start over. Stacey tries to encourage Lily to be excited about starting her junior year at a boarding school, but to no avail. Lily is dreading the new beginning, longing to stay back in California with her friends. As they arrive at Lily’s new school, the camera zooms in on the appearance of the ivycovered, grandiose McClean Institute for Young Adults.
