ABSTRACT
Computer-based workstations, either those based on picture editing with a sound component or those specifically designed for audio editing called digital audio workstations (DAWs), have revolutionized sound editing for movies and videos over the last decade. Compared to razor-blade editing of audio tape or film, there are several differences between the analog and digital approaches that make the productivity of digital audio editing much higher.
