ABSTRACT

Users of older versions of Vegas will notice that a new keyframing tool has been implemented in version 11. Keyframing may be used to animate or transform an object, shift color or exposure as a camera moves across a panorama, create motion on images, fade in/out an effect, move an effect on a screen, and so very much more. Imagine doing a feature-length project and just before picture lock, a 10-frame error is discovered in a set of keyframes related to the entire timeline. Place the playhead at the end of the keyframe timeline, and either move the parameter controls to personal taste or select the Soften or Medium Blur preset. This will create a new keyframe at the end of the Event. Experiment with the keyframe interpolations and watch how the interpolation changes the way the curves ramp during the changes.
