ABSTRACT
U.S. government’s Department of Labor. OSHA’s mission is to “assure the safety and health of America’s workers by setting and enforcing standards; providing training, outreach, and education; establishing partnerships; and encouraging continual improvement in workplace safety and health.” No discussion of safety would be complete, or could even begin, without discussing OSHA. Its mission statement takes on a great deal with extreme consequences. OSHA is discussed periodically throughout this chapter.
