ABSTRACT
We in the entertainment production industry are in the midst of profound change, much of it enabled by the rapid advance of technology. The confl uence of ever more powerful computers, broadband networking, LED technology, media servers, and digital light processing have conspired to create a huge increase in the demand for control channels, which, in turn, leads to the demand for more powerful computers and more bandwidth. This, in turn, is changing the way we build, use, and service lighting systems.
