ABSTRACT

As a kid, did you ever play with magnets? If you did, you probably know that a permanent magnet has a north pole and a south pole. You may not have known what they were called, but you most likely observed that one end of a bar magnet is attracted to the opposite end of another bar magnet. If you put them side by side with the wrong ends touching each other, they would fl ip around and right themselves so that the north pole of one magnet was stuck to the south pole of the other and vice versa.
