ABSTRACT

Once you decide that a color image is a keeper, you should start thinking about how to properly prepare it for presentation and storage for future use. Digital files need to be electronical ly corrected, spotted, or retouched before printing because the variety of output materials can require very specific corrections. Finished analog prints may have visual defects such as dust marks or scratches that can be corrected by spotting them with dye and a fine-point brush.
