ABSTRACT
We will introduce new concepts and techniques in this chapter. The most important subject matter is the simplest: flat,
rbrightly polished metal. A flat piece of metal, without any othe objects in the scene, is easy to light, even without much thought or understanding of the relevant principles. But such simple subject matter can demonstrate the most sophisticated techniques-techniques that can eventually make even the most difficult assignments possible.
