ABSTRACT
On 28 January 1984 the Polish Laboratory Theatre issued the following statement:
For some time the company has ceased to exist practically as a cohesive group. We believe that we have accomplished what we set out to do. We ourselves are astounded that we persisted as a group for a quarter of a century, constantly changing, inspiring one another. Each of us remembers that our origins lie in the common source whose name is Jerzy Grotowski. From now on each of us has to meet alone the challenge of his/her own creative biography and the times in which we live.
