ABSTRACT
On exposure, electrical charges are generated in proportion to how much light each pixel
receives. The built-in analogue-to-digital converter or ADC changes these into a stream of digital
signals – each picture creating a ‘file’. The larger the number of pixels, the bigger the file size and
the higher resolution of detail in the image.
