ABSTRACT
Many SLR owners will opt for what many call a “ vacation lens. ” These usually cover from 18-250 mm and fit into a small space. However, to get such a long zoom range, manufacturers usually have to sacrifice quality, and those sacrifices often come at the extreme ends: wide angle and telephoto. This issue makes me wonder why anyone would want to bring the lens at all. There are a few good ones out there, but I recommend a twolens approach for better quality.
