ABSTRACT
One of the most frequent requests I get from my beginner and advanced workshop students alike is for step-by-step tutorials detailing the digital workfl ow process – from capture to print – through Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom. The disappointing truth for many of my students to learn is that with so many possible steps from start to fi nish, and so many diff erent ways to handle images, there really is no single “right” way to manage workfl ow. There are as many diff erent successful methodologies as there are industry experts and practioners to champion them. For the purposes of this text however, I have created an integrated hybrid workfl ow –

from capture to print – outlining a methodology I have found successful in practice. Follow these workfl ow guidelines as a roadmap, appropriate what works for you and discard what does not. Our hope is that once you jump in, you will fi nd the confi dence and creativity to experiment and play with techniques you never dreamed possible!
