ABSTRACT
Setting Up Import Settings The Import settings for Lightroom are on the Import tab of General Preferences [Ctrl,] (Figure 2.2). From this tab you can control how Lightroom treats RawJPEG photos, digital negative (DNG) images, and those lovely folder names the camera generates. At this point we are interested in the setting that determines if the Import dialog box opens when a camera or card reader is connected to the computer. This setting only controls Lightroom’s Import dialog box, it does not aff ect how the operating system (OS) and other applications respond – and they will respond.
