ABSTRACT
Binnaz1 is a lawyer. At the time of the interview, she had been in the legal profession for about three years. She works privately, but runs the office together with a colleague. The main reason for this partnership is that Binnaz, due to her wearing a headscarf, cannot follow the regulations concerning professional garb set up by the bar association. According to the present regulations, lawyers must wear a long robe (ciippe) and no head-gear. So, she prepares the cases, while her friend, who does not use the veil, does the official part of the work.
