ABSTRACT
A complete recording system includes microphones and microphone preamplifiers; optional signal processors such as equalizers and compressors; mixing features for multiple microphones; a recording capability with enough channels/tracks; playback facilities for existing music or for a click to play along with; playback facilities for the newly recorded music; a cueing system with headphone amplifiers and headphones for the musicians to hear the click tracks or music playback; and a loudspeaker monitoring system with a talkback system and controls so that the recording engineer, producer, arranger, or others involved in the recording can hear everything they need to and communicate with the musicians.
