ABSTRACT
Occupying the northern and western sides of the Scandinavian Peninsula and lying west of Sweden and north of Denmark, Norway boasts one of Europe’s highest Standards of living and lowest population densities. As of 1992, 4.1 million people lived in Norway with some 450,000 living in and around the Capital, Oslo. Norway’s land area is 324,000 square kilometres (125,000 square miles).
