ABSTRACT
This section presents selected aspects of the psychomedical research literature bearing on specific learning difficulties (dyslexia). An awareness of the contributions of colleagues working in other disciplines is important if we are not to become immured in the conceptual concrete of our own specialisms. The material presented makes no claim to being comprehensive, but the references provided will enable readers to follow up the summaries.
