ABSTRACT
Introduction It is now time to put a sound system together in order to fill a space with sound. We will need to move beyond the simplicity of speaker order and define speaker coverage with more precision so that we can shape the sound to the shape of the room. The sound system will be a carefully constructed assemblage of parts, each of which has a defined role to play. The definition of such roles will be essential for the on-site deconstruction and reconstruction process that will follow: optimization.
