To which comes the reply, “I’m sorry. Were you talking to me? I see a lightning storm, but I don’t hear anything. And I always thought it was a thunder bolt.You know, the kind of sound that rumbles your guts, catapults you out of bed in the middle of the night, heart pounding in your throat.” Or when you’re out camping, lying alone in your tent in the middle of the night, you prick up your ears and listen to the howling of the wind, count the seconds between the flash and the thunder, and wait out the storm.
