ABSTRACT

We’ve worked through using the twelve principles of animation within the context of Blender’s animation system, but there’s still more to do. There are some specific techniques and tricks that don’t fit entirely within any of the principles, but that will need to be addressed so that you can have a more complete picture of how to finish your Blender-based character animation. In this chapter, we’ll look at IK/FK switching, picking up and dropping objects, and an introduction to the Non-Linear Animation system (NLA).
