ABSTRACT
Every project starts with an idea and this book was no exception. This project began with the suggestion from Focal Press to write a book on animation after I finished my first book for them, Directing the Story: Professional Storytelling and Storyboarding for Animation and Live Action. This is the documentation of the creative process of how and why I did what I did to make this book and the movie for this book. So how did I begin? It all started with a question.
