ABSTRACT

All living things that move create a rhythm and flow of curves that lead us to believe they are alive. As human beings we are all born as similar people, sharing the same basic emotions and visual experiences. We tend to see color more than black and white, and notice moving things more than still objects. We also enjoy change because it keeps us fresh and attracts us for longer periods. In paintings, we try to create a flowing motion between color variation and contrast, and between geometric shapes and curves. In the real world we also use facial motion or expression to convey emotion. These are also some of the techniques used to make a painting stand out from others, even if they share a similar concept and content.
