ABSTRACT
You've all heard of the mysterious “tunnel of light”, a near-death experience in which people find themselves floating in a long tunnel with a beautiful luminous light at the end. The idea was to depict this experience, but instead of using a clean tunnel I wanted the scene to take place in a massive futuristic gateway of sorts, which would allow the souls to pass through. I also wanted to show a glimpse of the afterlife. Rather than just using a bright light, I decided to put skyscrapers and a high-tech world on the other side.
