ABSTRACT

The render process converts animators' working files from source file format to formats that can be used by the end user on the web, the desktop, DVDs, and other forms of video animation. This chapter discusses the Render Video dialog box options and sheds light on the most commonly used video formats and their options, as well as the different image formats that are used to export animation as an image sequence. When animators export their 3D animation to video or sequence images, animators have a wide range of formats to choose from. The Video section allows animators to edit the video settings and size of the video output. One of the most useful options when exporting video files as QuickTime is the filter features, which let animators add filters over the whole video animation while rendering it. The Image Sequence option is an important feature that allows animators to export video frames to sequenced images.
