ABSTRACT

This chapter begins with discussion on integration by covering the workflow between Photoshop and Flash, with particular attention to three-dimensional (3D) content and 3D animation. It discusses the basics that allow animators to use Photoshop animations and 3D content in Flash to extend both their Photoshop and Flash capabilities and to take their Photoshop animations and 3D content to the web through Flash. One of the products that is commonly used with Photoshop in web, desktop, and animation projects is Adobe Flash Professional. Resizing images in Flash can cause distortion or quality reduction, so the best method for resizing bitmaps for Flash is actually to resize it in Photoshop before importing it into Flash. Importing images to Flash as a sequence of images is the traditional method. The other method to import 3D Photoshop animation is by exporting it as a video animation from Photoshop.
