ABSTRACT

Scenes Scene numbering is different in animation than it is in live action. In live action, a new scene number begins every time there is a shift in location or a shift in time. In cel animation you have a new scene number every time there is a cut, even if it’s in the same room. In live action, once you are in a location you can turn the camera in any direction and shoot. In cel animation, every shot has a different background and is composited separately, so each shot is a scene unto itself.
