Pencil Tests

Pencil Tests Pencil tests are quick samples of how the animation looks in motion as it’s being drawn. Constant testing of scenes as they are being drawn helps the animator make timing and acting adjustments before the time-consuming and expensive process of finishing the animation. Pencil tests are also used for approvals before the animation goes through clean-up and painting.
