ABSTRACT
Having thus presented descriptive data of the Nkoya urban cult practice against the background of Nkoya urban life in general, I shall now proceed to interpret these data. A review of major current nonMarxist approaches will throw into relief the potential of the approach stressing modes of production and their articulation.
