ABSTRACT
Lexical data is studied under three sections, the first deals with specimens of twoword collocates, localisms, proverbial expressions, classical and koine forms in current speech. Section two (B) looks into old and recent borrowings; and section three (C) examines specialized lexis pertaining to certain traditional activities.
