ABSTRACT

From our discussions in the previous chapters, we can comfortably state that modo is an extremely versatile application. The new animation tools in modo 401 have broadened modo's animation capabilities. However, I find that there are times when you might need to export data from modo to another application such as Autodesk's Maya. Perhaps you work in a facility where you must adhere to a specific pipeline. You might be working only on a specific portion of an asset, and it may need to be passed through another application down the pipe. In this chapter, I will be discussing the workflow that I use when I export models created in modo for animation in Maya. We will also look how to get the animation keyframes back into modo for rendering.
