ABSTRACT

The crux of that poem, I think, lies in the fi rst line that states, “There is nothing like an idea that comes to life … ” For we artists, and for that matter, everyone in the studio, bringing an idea to life is what it’s all about. If we can’t do that, we have nothing. Nita Leland in her fabulous book, The Creative Artist, says, “Drawing is about communication, insight, feeling, emotions, not just a recital of facts. ” In other words, bringing an idea to life.
