ABSTRACT

At rst, I started with laying out my hierarchy – small, medium, large areas (Fig.01). My sketch started off very – very loose! After just a few strokes, I could already start to see a very striking composition that captured my attention (Fig.02). At this point, I already wanted to address any uncomfortable spacing or tangencies. Also, although it was still rough, the thumbnail already showed me a palette range of warm and cool colors that could be useful in developing my layout further. I continued using textured and round brushes to give me random shapes to help me nd “happy accidents”. I felt this was a good start and could easy build on top of this.
