THElittletempleofDendur-oneofthesmallestin Nubia-liesonthewestbankoftheNile,andisorientated eastandwest.Theentranceisfromtheriver,andthe magnificentterrace(A)whichoverlooksthewateris extremelyfine.Ashortcausewayleadsuptothepylon, ofwhichonlytherichlydecoratedstonegatewayremains (B),thesculptorhasleftnoblankspacesonthestone work,thewholesurfaceofthedoor-inside,outsideand onthereveals-iscoveredwithdecoration.Underthe cavettocorniceontheriver-faceisthewingeddisk,and belowthatisthetorus-roll;thearchitravehadscenesof offerings,nowgreatlydamaged;downeithersideofthe doorareagainscenesofofferingswithappropriateinscriptions.Thelandwardfaceofthedoorhassimilarornamentation(pl.LIII,1,2;LV).
