ABSTRACT
Ella is a 3-dimensional virtual doll that we made under the consigning of Coca-Cola and Tencent. As we know in China, Ella is a very popular pop singer, and because of this, it was very difficult to produce a character based upon such a well-known figure. At the beginning we analyzed many of her photographs, and at the same time Coca-Cola provided us with lots of high resolution photographs of her for reference. Our goal was not just in making everyone recognize Ella, but to achieve making the character more charming, and more vivid, in 3D. We hope that her fans will accept the character which has been produced by digital technology.
