ABSTRACT

Sometimes inspiration that I get from great artwork, performances or general culture, become the motive behind my pictures, but sometimes small things in everyday life are what motivate my pictures. I have a Nikon EOS camera and this is my treasure. When I found out that “EOS” meant Goddess of Dawn, I wanted to create a character by the same name. Thereafter, I began creating the world in which she would inhabit. Her parents named her after the Goddess of Dawn because she was born at dawn and she grows up to be a famous hunter in her village. One day, the god hears about her incredible archery skills and make her the guardian of a land, normally under their protection. Whenever she goes out hunting there is an eagle that flies over her head and follows her. The eagle is named Hoya, and in my initial drawings I thought about the composition of EOS and Hoya together (Fig.01).
