ABSTRACT

My fascination with computer graphics has been ongoing since the age of ten, back in the days when pausing Street Fighter 2 to look up Chun Li’s skirt was about the coolest thing you could do on a computer. It wasn’t until I went to college, six years later, that I discovered the magic of 3D Studio and the satisfaction that came from creating a gigantic chessboard with a floating reflective cone. That’s when I decided I wanted a career in computer graphics. I studied Film and Media at college, in Ireland, and went on to do a degree in Electronic Imaging and Media Communication at the University of Bradford. In 2002, I graduated from university and began work as a 3D artist for Argonaut Games, working on the hugely successful Powerdrome, which I believe has sold over thirty copies in the UK alone! In 2004, I left Argonaut, two weeks before it went into liquidation, and started work at Ark Vfx…which is where I am today.
