ABSTRACT
Further to the previous description of the complex, plural character of Babile as a result of processes of acculturation and transculturation in the Horn of Africa, this chapter considers the extent to which knowledge, practices and behaviour within the community concerning illness, diagnosis and treatment exhibit a similar, plural character.
