ABSTRACT
In the remaining chapters of this handbook I share my personal approach and philosophy to paint-
ing and to making art. These lessons are not intended to replace any formal art training. I recom-
mend learning from diverse sources and teachers. Fine art training with traditional media will be a
valuable complement to what you learn in this handbook. To derive the most benefit from these chap-
ters and to help you get the most from your use of Painter, I recommend you follow the chapters and
do the exercises in the order they appear.
