ABSTRACT

The idea of integrating entertainment and education is not new. Our grandparents, and probably our great grandparents, too, learned to read from schoolbooks that looked just like attractive children’s storybooks. They played with educational toys like building blocks and magnets, and they took part in costume dramas where they reenacted important moments in history. It’s also not a new concept to use the latest technology to teach. Both fi lm and video, for example, were quickly put to use in the classroom and for training purposes as soon as it became possible to do so.
