Duringthelasthundredyearsanenormousamountof archeologicalresearchhasbeencarriedoutinIraq.Impressive monumentshavebeenunearthedandthousandsofinscribedtablets recoveredfromtheburiedcitiesofSumer,BabylonandAssyria. Furthermore,remarkableresultshavebeenachievedinthefieldof PhilologyandthetwomainlanguagesofancientIraq-Sumerianand Akkadian-haveyieldedtheirsecrets,andtensofthousandsoftexts havebeentranslatedandpublished.
